With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Mary Hoffman of Hays, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton Sander and Rosa Sander (Nemechek); and her siblings, Evelyn Sander, Mary Schuster Deines, Sophie Zerr, Sister Viola Sander, Daniel Sander and Louis Sander.

She is survived by : her siblings, Sister Helen Sander of Fond du Lac, WI, Lillian Nowak of Salina, KS, Rosie Nash of Dallas, TX and Lawrence Sander of Salina, KS; and her sister-in-law Lillian Pfeifer (Hays). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (215 W 13th St, Hays, KS 67601). A rosary was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to HaysMed Hospice or Homestead Assisted Living of Hays.
