She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Bieker and Rosina M. Bieker (Denning); her husband Vernon "Booby" Dechant; her brother Ralph; her sister-in-law Pat Bieker; and her grandson Darren Haynes.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Haynes (Jerry) of Hays, KS, Kathy Schuckman (Fred) of Victoria, KS, Lois Koerner (Don) of Hays, KS, Sharon Befort (Clayton) and Keith Dechant (Brenda) of Hays, KS; her grandson Brian Haynes (Kristie); and her children, Steve Haynes (Darcy), Kevin Haynes (Emilee), Chrissy (late Darren Haynes), Lindsay Anderson (Dustin), Fred Schuckman (Maria), Nolan Schuckman, Renee Dreiling (Matt), Sarah van Straaten (Michael), Chad Befort (Jenn Mucha), Cole Befort, Cory Befort (Brittany), Jessie Groff (Justin) and Jake Dechant (Gabby). She is also survived by her 21 great grandchildren.
