He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Schultz and Jane "Jean" Schultz (Evans); and his stepfather Henry Shinn. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Schultz of Hope; his children, Stacy Schadegg (Matt) of Wamego, Jodi Gingerich (Darwin) of Moundridge and Chad Schultz (Jaclyn) of Ozawkie; his grandchildren, Gracie, Madilyn, Ella, Gavin, Sophia, Henry, Nicholas, Millie and Bristol; and his siblings, Gordon Schultz (Alice), Pete Schultz (Gloria), Eric Schultz (Patty), Susie Biehler (Larry) and Berry Wendt (Glenn).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yazel-Megli Funeral Homes – Herington Chapel (404 S Broadway St, Herington, KS 67449). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church-Lyon Creek (2124 KS-4, Herington, KS 67449). A burial was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery (2124 KS-4, Herington, KS 67449).
Memorial contributions in Jim's name may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church Lyons Creek, Herington or to Neighbors to Neighbors, in care of the funeral home.
