It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph John Sager Jr. of Herington, Kansas, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Anna May Sager, Sr. (Vogt); and his siblings, Joan Stiles, Beulah Boulighy, Marie Oborny, Lorene Harrison, Geneva Woosley, Mary Ellen "Peg", Lawrence "PeeWee" Sager and Charles Sager.
He is survived by: his children, James Sager (Rosa) of Mulvane, Leanna Linnabary of Oxford, KS, Paul Sager of Udall and Sue Renda of Rose Hill; and his sisters, Donna Schmedeman of Wichita and Helen Fulton of Salina. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yazel-Megli Funeral Homes – Herington Chapel (404 S Broadway St, Herington, KS 67449). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (930 W Burns St, Herington, KS 67449).
