He is survived by: his sister Merreta of El Dorado, Kansas; his sons, Galen (Denece) of Spokane, Washington, Kevin (Denise) of Harrisonburg, Virginia and Michael (Elizabeth) of Harrisonburg, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jessica Velasquez (David) and Stephan Goertzen (Virginia); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Maya and Meshach.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mennonite Central Committee in Don's memory.
