He was predeceased by: his father Edgar W. Thompson; and his brother Mike Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy H. Thompson (Smith); his sister Kathy Lehmann (Don) of Olathe, KS; his nephews, Craig Lehmann of Gardner, KS and Christopher Lehmann of Olathe, KS; and his great-nephews, Paxton Lehman and Archer Lehmann. He is also survived by numerous cousins, and many good friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (124 S 7th St, Hiawatha, KS 66434). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
