He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Gano and Thelma Gano (Gordon); his wife Donna; his siblings, Gaylen, Gordon (Razz), Daralee, Carolyn and Donna; his daughter Cynthia; and his granddaughters, Michele Kelley and Jessica Colantoni (Johnson).

He is survived by: his brother Vern of Tacoma; his daughters, Barbara Alexander (Jim) of Russell and Brenda Johnson of Bird City; his son-in-law Jim Kelley of Phillipsburg; his grandchildren, Donna Marie Kelley, Jason Kelley, Stanley Windholz (Jennifer), Nicole Miller (Jared) and Andrew Johnson; his great grandchildren, Gentry, Reese and Jhett Windholz; and his grandchildren, Preston and Greyson Miller.

Memorials are suggested to the Graham County Hospital in care of Stinemetz Funeral Home.
