He is survived by: his wife Janice Stika (Hudson) of Herington; his children, Jeri (Mike Richards) of Solomon, Paula (Pat Emerson) of Moundridge, Brenda (Kelly Bernhardt) of Tampa and LaVerne Stika, Jr. of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Ashley (Steven Honeycutt) of Williamston, Jeff (Heather Hett) of Newton, Matthew (Katelyn Emerson) of Overland Park, Elly Emerson of Moundridge, Cheyenne (Wesley Shaw) of Hillsboro, Callie Bernhardt of Tampa, Cassidy Bernhardt of Tampa, Dane Bernhardt of Tampa and Denton Bernhardt of Tampa; his great grandchildren, Aaron, Brooke, Julian Honeycutt, Rosalina, Gabriel and Isaiah Hett; and his stepchildren, Robin (Cliff Ward) of Leveland, Texas, Dawn (Randy Williams) of Herington, Doug (Lela Byfield) of Big Sandy, Texas, Susan Hood of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Melissa Byfield of Houston, Texas.
A Memorial Fund has been established for the Hunter D. Emerson Lineman Scholarship in care of Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
