With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Magellan Watkins (Hillsboro, Kansas), born in Minneapolis, Kansas, who passed away on November 23, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Watkins and Gladys Watkins (Lott); and his brothers, Raymond Howard Watkins I, Raymond Howard Watkins II, Michael Jon Watkins and Marvin Watkins.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Kaye Watkins of Marion; his daughter Debra K. Steele of Marion; and his sister Marilyn Kay Jones of Marion. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
