The family announces the passing of Debra Jean Mader of Holcomb, Kansas on October 30, 2026. Debra, born on August 4, 1956, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Maestas and Eva Maestas (Montoya); her brothers, Alfred, Tommy and Ronnie Maestas; her sister-in-law Linda Maestas; her nephew Torry Maestas; and her former husband Wes Mader.
She is survived by: her children, Annie Mader (Arden Koehn) of Holcomb, Kansas and Casey Mader of Holcomb, Kansas; her granddaughter Delaney Tesch (Blake Hynek) of Oak Harbor, Washington; her sister Nancy Mader (Rick Mader); and her sister-in-law Debbie Maestas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A rosary was held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (509 St John St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggest memorials given to the Debbie Mader Memorial Fund which will be used to support Holcomb schools, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, Kansas 67846.
