David Jan Collins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Jan Collins (Holton, Kansas), who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John L. Collins, Jr. and Winifred Collins (Morley); his wife Barbara Collins (Ware); his children, Shawn Collins (Cindy) of Columbia, SC and Samantha Youngblood (Brian) of Hollister, MO; his grandchildren, Macy, Harrison, John Henry Collins, Dekker, Hattie, Lane, Stockton Youngblood and Savannah Miller; his brother Ted Collins (Linda); his siblings-in-law, Charles Ware of Maryville, MO and Cynthia Grooms (Charles) of Parkville, MO; and his cousin Joy Meyer (Wayne). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations can be made to the Jan Collins Scholarship Fund which has been established with the USD 111 Foundation and can be given to, or sent in care of, Barbara at PO Box 413 or Collins Law Office, PO Box 307, both in Highland.
