He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Barnett and Margaret Barnett; and his siblings, Onita Brooks, Beatrice Ray, Helen Abramson, Philip and Norman Barnett.

He is survived by : his spouse Crystelle Beth Gilkison; and his children, Melissa Frost (Greg) of Lawrence, KS, Alan Barnett (Kathy) of Arrington, KS, Arthur Barnett of Lenexa, KS, Andy Barnett (Sheryl) of Valley Falls, KS and Aaron Barnett (Erin) of Lee's Summit, MO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
