She was predeceased by : her parents, John Taphorn and Helen Neu Taphorn; her husband Walter "Pete" Rethman; and her siblings, Ray, Jim, Bob, Walter, Werner, Rieta, Marion, Clara and Joan.

She is survived by : her sons, Jason Rethman of Tempe, AZ and Jarred Rethman (Amy); and her grandchildren, Logan Touslee (Tanner) and Kolby Rethman (Kinley).
