He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Bell and Blanche "Marie" Jackson Bell; his wife Dorthea Rathert; and his siblings, Ray Bell, Cecil Bell and JoAnn Poteet.
He is survived by: his children, James Bell, Michael Bell, Ricky Bell, Christina Wilder (Steven) of San Jose, CA and Carla Klein (Billy) of Alturas, CA; his close friend Martha Roush; and his granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Wilder.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (100 Apache Dr, Hoyt, KS 66440). The military honors will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mayetta Cemetery.
