It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger D. Bontrager of Holton, Kansas, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Doris L. Bontrager (Bohnenkemper) and Clayton Bontrager; and his sister Shirley Stauffer. He is survived by : his wife Connie Sue Williams; his daughters, Kim Lovvorn (Mike) of Holton, KS and Karrie Gilliland (Joe) of Holton, KS; his brother Richard Bontrager (Susan) of Holton, KS; his brother-in-law Bud Stauffer of Mayetta, KS; his grandchildren, Drake Lovvorn (Kelsey), Lucas Lovvorn (Alyssa), Megan Lovvorn (Ben DePaoli), Parker Gilliland, Conner Gilliland and Tucker Gilliland; and his great grandchild Sullivan DePaoli.

Memorials may be given to the Holton Community Hospital or Holton Parks and Rec c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.

Sherri Israel wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Connie, Kim, Karrie and families. I am so sad to read the news of Roger’s passing. I remember him as a loving, caring and gentle man. I know he was loved by many but most of all by each of you. I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly, I am unable to attend his services. I am on vacation out of state and not back in time. I am saddened that I will not be there to support you.
