With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernadette Mary Thomas of Horton, Kansas, who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Masqua and Julia Masqua Jessepe Green; her siblings, Albert Masqua, Arlan "Dave" Masqua, Calvin Masqua, Cleo Green, Lorraine "Tootsie" Masqua-Blacksmith, Karen Masqua Cadue, Claudette Green, William "Billy" Wanatee, Mann John Falcon and Lucy Wabaunsee; and her son John "Whopshan" Thomas Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Jeanette Littlesun; her children, Jason Thomas (Tish), Christina Jim and Michelle Thomas; her adoptive children, Rona Kay Goodeagle, Evelyn Archie Bull, Frank Wolfe (Alisa), Francis Soxie, Rueben Noah Jr. and James Gregory; and her grandchildren, Leotta, Johna, Amber, Michael, Jaden, Shakota, Taylor, Joi, Tiara, Angelina, Aubrey and Keana. She is also survived by her children, adopted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Leo's Catholic Church (1320 1st Ave E, Horton, KS 66439). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
