Carol Ann Swendson Obituary

In loving memory of Carol Ann Swendson of Horton, Kansas, who departed this world on March 20, 2026 at the age of 77. Carol Ann leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Richling and Teresa Richling (Schaefer); her husband Gary A. Swendson of Leo's Catholic Church; her son Brad; her nieces, Cindy Groshong and Deborah Frans; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Delzeit, Kenneth Davin, Mary Swendson and Dorothy Swendson.

She is survived by: her sons, Todd and Jeff Swendson (Michelle) of Horton; her stepgranddaughters, Kaylynn and Kelsey (Taylor); and her siblings, Dale Richling (Sheri) of Lawrence, Phyllis Shannon (David) of Hiawatha, Vickie Groshong (Don) of Horton and Mary Davin of Lawrence. She is also survived by twenty one nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

Memorials may made to the Carol Swendson memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary.
