She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosalie Alires and Jimmy Romero; her husband Dewey James Jessepe; her children, Richard Wabaunsee Jr. and Lasie Wabaunsee; her grandmother Eva Romero; and her siblings, George Gonzalez, Raymond Romero, Timothy Alires, James Romero, Allen Romero and Susie Martinez.
She is survived by: her children, Lindsey Wabaunsee of Topeka, KS, Ricky Wabaunsee of Horton, KS, Clifton Wabaunsee of Topeka, KS and Gregory Wabaunsee of Topeka, KS; her siblings, Joyce Arredondo (Javier) of Liberal, KS, Beverly Romero of Liberal, KS, Theresa Alires of Liberal, KS, Johnny Gonzales of Wichita, KS and Jerry Romero of Belton, TX; and her grandchildren, Dominic Wabaunsee of Aurora, CO, Simon Mesa of Holton, KS, Colton Wabaunsee of Seminole, OK, Phoenix Wabaunsee of Green Bay, WI, Jalisa "Big Girl" Wabaunsee of Green Bay, WI and Rosalind "Sister Girl" Wabaunsee of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Liberal Cemetery (1900 W 15th St, Liberal, KS 67907).
