He was predeceased by : his parents, Strozier Albin and Lavina May Hulsey (Dillon); his wife Penny Lin Helgeson; his grandson Cory Hess; and his siblings, Janice Holbert and Robert Hulsey.

He is survived by : his daughters, Sonya Allen (Scott) of Lawrence, KS and Patti Javener (Andy) of Topeka, KS; his brother Tommy Hulsey (Pam) of McPherson, KS; his grandchildren, Danielle Cowan (Kim), Abbi Hess, Darian Hess, Avery Allen and Katie Allen; his great grandchild Ava Rose Hess; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Blair (Bill) of Galva, KS, Anita Walters (Steve) of Galva, KS, Debbie Hulsey of McPherson, KS and Brian Helgeson (Gina) of Canton, KS. He is also survived by many extended family & friends.
