She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald M. Kemper and Opal J. Kemper (Wanamaker); her husband Vic; her siblings, Lester (Lois), Corky (Donald C.) and DeDe Blaser (Al); and her sisters-in-law, Judith Weeks (Al) and Joyce Peter (Gary).
She is survived by: her children, Janelle (Lee) of Hoxie, Jon (Dori) of Derby, KS and Jill Heskett (David) of Quinter, KS.; her sisters, Karen Richards of Lebanon, OH and Anita Merrill of Wilton, NH.; her grandchildren, Amy Kane (Ty) of Wichita, KS, Curt Cooper (Julia) of Hoxie, Victor Karnes (Megan) of Wichita, KS, Joseph Karnes of Albuquerque, NM, Joshua Heskett of Wichita, KS, Jordon Heskett (Amanda) of Lancaster, NY and Kelsi Thurnau (Nora) of Wichita, KS.; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Levi, Evie, Caleb Kane, Inara, Jemma Cooper, Gwendolyn Karnes, Meadow and Sullivan Heskett. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Church - Hoxie (1025 Queen Ave, Hoxie, KS 67740). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. After 2020 and Covid, she became a member of the Hoxie Christian Church.
