He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Rickel and Harriett Woodhead Rickel; his wife Alice Lowry; his grandson Timothy J. Rickel; his great grandchild Orion Rickel; his daughter-in-law Linda Jane Rickel; and his siblings, Clifford M. Rickel, Donald S. Rickel, Robert G. Rickel, Zadie B. Howe, Martha Jane Martin, Dorothy Mae Redding and Nancy Trumm.
He is survived by: his children, Cleon Dennis Rickel (Deb) of Mayett, Gregory Eugene Rickel (Pam) of Mayett, Eric Wade Rickel (Karen) of Mayett, Rodney George Rickel (Cindy) of Mayett, Randall J. Rickel (Hoyt) and Samantha Lynn Chapman; and his brothers, Charles B. Rickel and Roland B. Rickel. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
