She was predeceased by : her parents, Merle Eldon and Leila Rosslyne Pate (Taylor); and her sister Merle Lee Pate. She is survived by : her sons, Clinton Bates of Pueblo West, CO. and Craig Bates of Pueblo West, CO.; and her brothers, John Pate of Katy, TX. and James "Jim" Pate (Joni) of Jasper, TX.. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established for the Trinity Baptist Church of Hugoton.
