Luis left this world on May 6, 2026 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reyes Maravilla and Eulalia Maravilla (Zúñiga). He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Olga Don Juan (Odilon), Alberto Maravilla and Ricardo Maravilla (April); his daughter-in-law Edith Maravilla; and his siblings, Victor, Alvaro, Ruben, Roberto, Juan, Ernesto and Adela. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reyes and Eulalia Maravilla, his infant brother, and his son, Jose Luis Maravilla Jr. A memorial fund has been established in his honor: the Luis Maravilla Sr. Memorial Fund, cared for by Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
