He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Cecil Earl and Dorothy Lynch (Stapleton) of Virginia; his former life partner Kay Ramey; his grandfather Robert Earl Lynch; his wife Judy Lynch; his children, Robert Lynch (Heather) of Apex, JoHanna Goetzinger of Hugoton and Sheena Schmutz (Jason) of Derby, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Logan, Shiloh Goetzinger, Ainsley, Quinn Lynch, Ryder and Rowdy Schmutz; his siblings, Janet Sutton and Gary Dean Lynch; and also Jim Ramey.

A memorial has been established for the Hugoton High School FFA.
