She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Wedel and Helena Wedel (Boehs); and her husband Vincent E. Varney. She is survived by: her children, Norma Blick of South Hutchinson, KS, Dean Varney of Hutchinson, KS, Ron Varney (Kristy) of Derby, KS and Curtis Varney (Jennifer) of Hutchinson, KS. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Legend of Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
