He was predeceased by: his parents, Gotthilf Witt and Anna B. Witt (Frohreich); his wife Ruth Friesen; and his siblings, Franklin, Oscar, Albert, Wes, Johnny, Bertha Connyers, Frieda Ahrens, LaVida Ahrens and Nita Hoefer.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Gooch (Cary) of Hugoton, KS, Marie Hayes (Bennie) of Turon, KS, Steve Witt of Hutchinson, KS and Susan Harrell (Kerry) of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Holly Grubbs (Joshua), Jeremy Landis (Crystal), Brian Gooch, Andy Wuthnow, Allen Wuthnow (Tracy), Aaron Wuthnow (Tiffany), Ryan McCorkle (Adrianna) and Brooklyn Hackler; and his great grandchildren, Tobias, Clayton, Alivia Grubbs, Lily, Jeremy Landis, Adrian, Avri, Tristyn Wuthnow, April, Alexander Wuthnow, Joshua and Leah McCorkle. He is also survived by his kids and grandkids.
