He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy J Sr. Proffitt and Dona Proffitt (Koblitz); and his brother David Proffitt. He is survived by: his wife Terri Proffitt of Hutchinson; his children, Katie Heimerman (DJ) of Murdock, KS and Ben Proffitt (Sabrina) of Park City, KS; his grandchildren, Maelynn and Myles J Proffitt; his sisters, Dian Hodges and Amy Sloan; and his in-laws, Dale Brown (Deonna), Judy Niehoff, Susan Adkins, Mark Brown (Edna), Debra Palmer, Brenda Brown, Annabel Stewart, Todd Brown (Kristie) and Lori Olson (Kevin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Partridge Cemetery (8304 S Partridge Rd, Partridge, KS 67566).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St. Hutchinson, KS 67501.
