He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Clell Burnett, Sr. and Audie Burnett (Smith); and his brothers, Vernon Clell Burnett, Jr. and Allen Ross Burnett. He is survived by: his wife Betty Burnett (Bunge); his daughter Debbie Robbins; his grandson Austin Robbins; his great grandchild Brantley Robbins; and his sister Betty Fehdrau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
