Doris A. Rue, born on November 21, 1936, passed away on September 17, 2026. Doris leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Len and Beulah Lucille Thomas (Mead); her husband Kenneth R. Rue; and her brother Donald Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Fry (Rod) of Yoder, Penny Becker (Mark) of Hutchinson and Richard "Rick" Rue of Hutchinson; her grandsons, Brad Fry (Ada), Tanner Rue (Jade), Michael Becker (Payge) and Dylan Becker (Ellissa); her great grandchildren, Vivian Fry and Clayton Henderson; her stepgrandchildren, Rachelle McKay (Shannon) and Jordan Geist (Julie); and her sister-in-law Sue Rue. She is also survived by nine step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary & Crematory (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (3410 N Plum St, Hutchinson, KS 67502).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House or First Congregational Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
