He is survived by: his wife Debra McConaghy; his daughter Tami Haflich (Jay Kaufman) of Hutchinson; his stepchildren, Jeremy McConaghy (Samantha Hiebert) of Hutchinson and Lisa Schroeder (Ricky) of Inman; his sister Sharon Evans (Dale); his grandchildren, Justin (Anna), Kristin (Bailey), Korie, Madison, Kimberly and Jon; and his daughter Joleen Hook-Mascorro. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and one due in August; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hutchinson Friends of the Zoo, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main Hutchinson, KS 67501.
