As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janice may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Ratlief and Mary Ratlief; her husband Gary Geist; her sister Margery Elaine Baker; and her granddaughter Kristin Gruver.
She is survived by: her children, Don Gruver (Cindy) of Newton and Blythe Wilkinson (Tim) of Hutchinson; and her stepchildren, Deb Castinado (Charles) of Alabama and Rusty Geist of Colorado. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairlawn Burial Park (2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
