It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay L Moore of Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Jay may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Moore and Viola Moore (Woods-Baker); his wife Jeannie Moore; and his siblings, Vicki Moore, Wesley Moore and Curtis Moore.
He is survived by: his sons, Sean Moore (Michele) of Carbondale, KS and Mark Moore (Nikki). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (2631 Independence Rd, Hutchinson, KS 67502). A rosary will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Cross (2631 Independence Rd, Hutchinson, KS 67502). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
