He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Bruce Wilson and Edith Starr Wilson; his stepmother Wilma Wilson; and his stepsiblings, Dale Sturgeon and Judy Wiesenthal.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his sons, Darin Wilson, James Wilson (Jenn) of South Hutchinson, Kansas and Matt Wilsom (Amy) of Miami, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Kalub Wilson and Ashlee Wilson of Miami, Oklahoma.; his siblings, Clarence Wilson of Lawrence, Kansas and Roseanne Wilson of Topeka, Kansas; and his stepsister Elaine Cloyd (John) of Hutchinson, Kansas.. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (407 E 12th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
