Leland Fleming Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland Fleming of Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Leland departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Leland may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Leland leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Fleming and Stella Fleming (Beard); his stepmother Macel Brandon (Leland); his former wife Gladenna; his wife Carolyn Porter; his daughter Linda Krulic; his sisters, Wilma Darnall and Evelee Darnell; and his stepsister Hazel Wilcoxson.

He is survived by: his daughter Stella Maxson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; his stepdaughters, Dawnita Miller and Michelle Schneider of Hutchinson, Kansas; his sister Jean Darnall; and his half-brother Duane Fleming. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
