We announce the death of Michael Anthony Rhea of Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 68. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his sister Marjorie Marie "Sissy" Rhea; and his mother-in-law Doris Price. He is survived by: his children, Amber Rhoden of Lawrence, KS, Aaron Rhea (Katie) of Monroe, LA and Morgan Rhea of Hutchinson, KS; his stepdaughter Dawn Thomas of Panama City, FL; his half-sister Jackie Lynn Rhea; his son-in-law Lucas Bontrager of Hutchinson, KS; and his grandchildren, Samuel Rhoden, Rhettley Bontrager and Mila Bontrager.
