He was predeceased by: his parents, Elred Burkhart and Esther Burkhart (Durler); and his brother Ken. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Burkhart (Eining) of Spearville; his sons, Michael (Shelbi) of Hutchinson, Brent (Tammy) of Hutchinson and Lance (Karen) of Overland Park; his grandchildren, Jake (Kate), Jhet (Tori), Peyton, Haley and Isaac; and his siblings, Ron (Rhonda) of Kinsley, Mary Schneider of Topeka, Janel Burr (Doug) of Kinsley, Jim (Marilyn) of Goddard, Don (Julie) of Grain Valley, MO, Gerald (Judye) of Washington, OK and Tom (Suzie) of Mulvane. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
