We announce the death of Sharon Kay Thacker (Hutchinson, Kansas), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 72. Sharon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her grandson Brody; and her father House. She is survived by: her husband Larry Thacker; her children, William Thacker (Katie) of Hutchinson and Jessica Thacker of Dallas, Texas; her siblings, Emma Nisly of Minnesota and Clayton Nisly (Jennifer) of Abbyville; and her grandchildren, Cooper Mooney, Guinevere Thacker and Harvey Thacker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary & Crematory (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elliott Chapel (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
