With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wallace E Farthing of Hutchinson, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wallace E Farthing to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sylvester and Lulu Wavey Farthing (Trotter); his wife Sarah Ann Pankratz; and his brother Howard Farthing. He is survived by: his children, Gena Jones (Tony) of Olathe, Maria Farthing of Arkansas City, Andrea Ward (Scott) of Hutchinson and Neil Farthing of Wichita; his grandchildren, Brent Ward (Eve), Rachel Ward, Cameron Ward, Andrew Jones, Trevor Jones and Sarah Farthing; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Ward, Kenzie Ward, Conner Ward, Emily Ward and Arcadia Farthing. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (5905 W 4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Gentiva Hospice, American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
