He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Steinmetz and Pearl Frances Steinmetz (Landis); and his siblings, Ed and Kathaleen. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Steinmetz of Hutchinson; his children, Mike Steinmetz of Hutchinson, Joni Vines of Hutchinson and Lori Green (Richard) of Olathe; his grandchildren, Chrystal Dobrzyn, Curtis Steinmetz and Timothy Steinmetz; and his great grandchild Evelyn Steinmetz.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
