She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Garoutte and Roena Garoutte (Carr); her husband Charles Lemon; and her sisters, Rosalee, Blanche (Marie), Peggy and Rebecca (Becky).
She is survived by: her daughters, Callista Taylor of Tuttle, Stacey Green (Delbert) of Neosho, Tina Folk (Kevin) of Cherryvale and Penny Harris (Brian) of Bolton, Kansas. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Webb and Rodrick Chapel (306 W Main St, Independence, KS 67301). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Life Baptist Church (2515 S 10th St, Independence, KS 67301).
Betty's family would request that in leu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
