We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2025, at the age of 81, Charlotte Lucille Erbe of Independence, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Hayden and Lucille Hayden (Luckinbill); her husband Wayne Erbe; and her brothers, Don and Bill Hayden.
She is survived by: her children, Charletta Gustin (Roy) of Fredonia, KS, Dale Erbe (LaDonna) of Independence, KS, Carolyn Anderson of Fredonia, KS, Wanda Erbe of Fredonia, KS, Steve Erbe (Sandy) of Thayer, KS and Susie Moore (Keith) of Tahlequah, OK; her brother Alfred Hayden of Perryton, TX; her grandchildren, Tanya Hartley (Autin Farmer), Tercia Gustin, Megan Murry (Willie), Lisa McGill (Sam), Stephanie Matney (Matt), Klay Walker (Adele), Karyn Walker, Tim Erbe, Keith Marquardt, Kayt Noakes (Ethan) and Eric Erbe; and her great grandchildren, Corbin (Summer), Camden, Teigann, Atticus, Abraham, Veda, Hayven (Hayden), Payson, Abel Duke, Josie, Dalton, Lyla, Lena, Gabe and Zeke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home - Fredonia (420 S 20th St, Fredonia, KS 66736). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harrison Cemetery.
Memorials have been suggested to either the Fredonia Food Bank, Fredonia Pound Pals or the American Heart Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
