The memory of Craig Turner of Independence, Kansas, who passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Turner and Juanita Turner (Craig); his former wife Lynn Rumfelt; his stepson Jeff Rumfelt; and his son-in-law John Mangan.
He is survived by: his wife Genny Heisler; his stepdaughter Chris Mangan; his grandchildren, Breezy LaForge (Derek), Molly Jones (Brady) and Lexy Sanders (Travis); his great grandchildren, Hattie, Ella, Georgia, Andie and John Clyde; his sister-in-law Janice Dickey; and his pet Maggie Jo.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (1300 N Pennsylvania Ave, Independence, KS 67301).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Craig's honor to AWOL, which can be left with the chapel.
