With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Ray Patchett of Independence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 19, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Patchett and Barbara Patchett (Goode); his wife Tammy Austin; and his siblings, Virgil Patchett, Lawrence Patchett and Kathleen Patchett-Mathis.
He is survived by: his children, Luke Patchett (Lisa) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Adam Patchett (Veronica) of Oregon, James Patchett of Independence, Kansas and Crystal Ellis (Christopher) of Independence, Kansas; his grandchildren, Amanda (Austin), Jarek, Abrianna, Bryson, Jasmin, Mattielee, Kylee, Christopher, Hannah, Ashley, William and Alexander; and his great grandchildren, Alex and Artemis.
