It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Joyce Hey of Independence, Kansas, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph McAlister and Violet McAlister (Storms); her husband Frank M. Hey; and her siblings, Wilson McAlister, Darrell McAlister, Melvin McAlister, Phyllis Hawkins, Darlene Stephenson, Mary Ann Osborn, Wanda McAlister and Helen McAlister.
She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Marcum (Bob); her grandchildren, Jordan Watson of Andover and Hunter Marcum of Russell, Kansas; her son Craig Hey (Candra); her grandchildren, Hunter Allison, Piper and Fisher Hey of Cherryvale, Kansas.; and her child First United Methodist Church. She is also survived by her family, friends.
