We announce the death of Mary Jane Schicke of Independence, Kansas, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 86. Mary Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank P. Schicke and Myrtle E. Schicke (Maher); her brothers, John Schicke and Michael Schicke; and her nieces, Samantha Clark and Laurie Schicke.

She is survived by: her nephew Steve Schicke (Lauri); her sister Kathy Smith (Fred) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law Ann Schicke; and her brother James Schicke of Independence, Kansas..

A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Catholic School and may be left with the funeral home.
