She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wade Shipley and Ruth Ross Shipley. She is survived by: her brother Bill Shipley (Julie) of Highland Park, Texas; her son Sam Blackard (Mindy) of Independence; and her grandchildren, Drew and Lauren.
