He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Hess and Dorothy Mae Hess (George); his wife Jeanette; and his son Brian Hess. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Hess, Laura Ahrlett, Ellen Pratt (Bob) and Andrew Hess (Gayle); his stepdaughters, Carla Linhart (Mike), Teresa Porter (John) and Cindy Leibold; and his siblings, Janice Strawbridge and Glenn Hess. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great grandchildren.
