With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margie M. Barnes of Iola, Kansas, born in Howard, Kansas, who passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Diffey and Alice Diffey (VanBuskirk); her daughter Debbie Barnes; her stepson Mike Barnes; and her siblings, John Wesley Diffey and Patty Ann Porter.

She is survived by : her husband Ray Barnes; her children, Sandra Moore (John) of Lawrence and Stanford Pugh (Cyndee) of Waverly; her nieces, Sylvia Diffey of Independence and Linda Hamlin of Albuquerque; and also Steve Barnes of Brooksville, Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends.
