She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Bayard Twadell and Neva Twadell; her husband John Leis; and her sisters, Judith Strack, Jane MacDonald and Deborah Twadell.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie (Jay Ernst), Neva (Curt Newton), John Leis (Lynne Goodwin), Heather (Assad Mirza) and Matt Leis (Chandi); her half-brother Bruce Chambers (Barbara); her grandchildren, Abigail Rutter, Nate, Nick Ernst, Kamran, Hannah, Kadin Mirza, Keaton, Korbin, Gracyn and Hudson Leis; and her great grandchildren, Ford and Tatum Rutter.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Yates Center Cemetery (1305 120th Rd, Yates Center, KS 66783).
