He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Gibbs and Emma C. Anderson Gibbs; his wife Opal J. Corey; his sons, Rodeny R. Gibbs and Larry Law; his siblings, Cecil Gibbs, Sidney Gibbs, Jack Gibbs and Jessie Mae Ling; and his granddaughter Kristi Hatfield.

He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Donovan Hatfield (Janet) and Chandler Hatfield (Emily); and his great great grandchildren, Audrey, Austin, Liam and Aiden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Memorials may be given to the American Legion, Jetmore in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, PO Box 663, Jetmore, KS 67854.
